Gus E. Zervos - Chairman of the Board
Gus began his insurance career by joining the family business (Zervos Agency) in 1964; Gus gained a great deal of experience in the insurance business and eventually became one of the principals. Over the years, he expanded his knowledge and expertise specializing in Construction Insurance and Bonds. In 1994, Gus along with his partner Steve Zervos formed Zervos Group, Inc. as a separate agency. He is licensed in Property, Casualty, Accident, Health and Life Insurance.
Steve M. Zervos - CEO
Steve launched his career in 1974 with Zervos Agency. As an agent, Steve brings over 40 years’ experience as an insurance professional with a concentration in construction. In 1994, Steve formed Zervos Group, Inc. with his partner Gus Zervos. Over the years, Zervos Group, Inc. has become a leader in the insurance industry specializing in Construction Insurance and Bonds. Steve was a member of the C.N.A. Pacer Advisory Council for 12 years and served as President of the council for 3 years. Currently, he holds an advisory position on the Citizens Insurance Construction Focus Board. Steve also holds Property, Casualty, Accident, Health and Life Insurance licenses.
Michael G. Zervos - President
Michael joined the firm in 1991 and assumed responsibility for the daily management of personnel, client relations and operations. He has over 25 years’ experience as an insurance professional. Michael works diligently with insurance carriers enhancing programs to provide great service for our clientele. He has extensive experience and first-hand knowledge in the construction industry. He currently holds a Property and Casualty Insurance license.
Angelo G. Zervos - Vice President
Angelo entered the insurance and bond industry over 20 years ago. He has been involved in international business and multi-state operations including the establishment of multi-million-dollar bond programs. One of Angelo’s roles is acting as an agent for Contractors’ Commercial Insurance and Contract Bonding, bridging the communication between the client and carrier. He has extensive experience and a solid reputation in the industry. He is currently an active supporter of many local trade associations and gives back to the community. Angelo became an owner of Zervos Group, Inc. and Zervos Financial Services, Inc. over a decade ago. These two firms together bring over 75 years of experience in providing excellent customer service, along with unwavering expertise in the exposures and demands of the construction sector. Angelo also holds Property, Casualty, Accident, Health and Life Insurance licenses.
Stephanie Dinco - Operations Manager
Stephanie joined Zervos Group, Inc. in 2016 and brings over 20 years of insurance experience to the organization. She handles the day-to-day operations at Zervos Group Inc., working to improve operational systems and policies in support of ZGI’s mission and vision. Stephanie holds an advisory position on the Hanover Personal Lines National Council. Her professional affiliations include Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) Designation and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation. She also holds Property, Casualty and Life Insurance licenses.
Donald Burden - Bond Manager
Don joined Zervos Group Inc. in 2002 with over twenty years of surety, fidelity and commercial bonding experience. Prior to joining Zervos Group, he was employed by Zurich North America Surety as Regional Sales Executive. Don’s role within Zervos Group, Inc. is bond manager where he is integral in marketing and servicing existing business. Don holds multiple designations including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB); Associate in Management (AIM); and Effective Speaking and Human Relations from Dale Carnegie. He also holds a Michigan Property and Casualty Insurance license.
David C. Lange - Agent
David is a producer actively involved with writing Commercial Insurance. He represents a variety of clients ranging from non-profit organizations to manufacturers. Dave has over 35 years of experience in the insurance field, beginning his career as a Life and Health agent. He joined Zervos Group, Inc. in 1976. He has a Commercial Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and holds Property, Casualty, and Life licenses.
Joseph A. Zubor - Agent
Joe joined Zervos Group, Inc. in 2008 as a commercial lines agent. Previously, he managed a manufacturing facility where his experience gave him insight into the commercial insurance industry. Joe’s know-how brings a unique perspective when helping place coverage for restaurants, plumbers, heating and cooling and various contractors. He holds a Michigan Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ryan M. Dudek – Agent
Ryan joined Zervos Group, Inc. in 2020, bringing over 20 years of Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Surety account experience. Clients managed range from small retail and manufacturing operations to service and construction accounts with a national reach. Specializing in environmental contracting and emerging businesses, Ryan works closely with his clients and carriers to develop and enact a tailored comprehensive risk management plan. He currently holds Property & Casualty and Excess & Surplus Lines licenses.
Michigan Contractors Financial Services (MCFS)
Dominic J. Nicita - Agent
Dominic heads up Zervos Group’s affiliate, MCFS (formerly a part of Michigan CAT Financial Services, Inc. until 2007). He began his career with Michigan CAT in 1992 as the Finance Manager, responsible for financing customer equipment purchases and leases. Dominic realized that Michigan CAT customers had specialized needs so that in 1995, Dominic helped found Michigan CAT Financial Services, Inc. with the mission to become an expert in Contractor’s Insurance and Bonds. He served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his tenure at Michigan CAT, Dominic was responsible for developing specialized equipment insurance programs for the Rental and Sales departments. He has also developed rental equipment damage waiver programs for Michigan CAT and several other large equipment dealerships and coined the name “Rental Protection Plan (RPP)” for these programs.
In addition to his 20 years in the insurance, equipment finance and construction industries, his qualifications include a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He holds Property and Casualty licenses.
Zervos Financial Services, LLC
Nicholas G. Conflitti - CLU, ChFC, RHU, LIC
Nick joined Zervos Group, Inc. in January 1985, becoming a member in 1997 with the establishment of Zervos Financial Services, LLC. He is appointed with multiple insurance carriers with State and National representations, Nick specializes in group and individual health and life products –his trademark is service. His background is in Secondary Education with a Masters in Economics. He changed careers in 1979 to become a fully licensed Life and Health Insurance broker. He carries multiple designations including a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC) designation. Nick also holds an Accident, Health and Life license.
John O'Connell - Agent
John began his insurance career in 2006 working for an insurance carrier. After 13 years working for a carrier he decided to switch roles and joined Zervos Financial Services as an agent in 2019. John graduated from the University of Michigan and has been a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters since 2007. He specializes in group and individual health and life insurance coverage. John prides himself in being responsive to his clients and providing superior service. To that end, he is updating their systems and streamlining processes to enhance the customer experience. He holds Accident, Health and Life licenses.
Erica Welemirov - Agent
Erica joined Zervos Financial Services in March 1998. She is the office manager specializing in the day to day operations, customer service and claims resolution. Erica is qualified to service both Group and Individual Health and Life Insurance as she holds Accident, Health and Life licenses.
Zervos Benefits Group
Tamra Ksiazek - Account Executive
Tamra joined the Zervos Group in January of 2020 to help us expand our Florida health insurance division. She grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She moved to South Florida in the early 90’s and has been assisting companies with Employee Benefits for the last 10 years. She is appointed with all the major carriers for Health, Life, Disability, Dental, Vision and Supplemental insurance. She manages employee benefits for both small and large groups and has extensive experience with construction companies as well as companies with multiple locations. Tamra is known for her volunteer efforts, creative solutions and superior customer service.
